Cookie Time!

For about a month straight every time we went to the store Baylee would ask me to buy some star sprinkles for her. I finally gave in and got them and then figured I need to do something with them so I looked up a recipe for Sugar Cookies on line. I have made sugar cookies before and they never turn out for me. I went into this thinking it was going to be a mess and not look cute and I would just end up getting frustrated with Baylee. That is not what happened. Baylee must be getting to the age that doing these kinds of things is fun instead of a pain. She was such a good girl and helped me every step of the way. She loved putting her stars on the cookies!! I think they turned out cute and perfect for the 4th of July.

Wii Time

Having fun with the Wii. Baylee's first time trying to bowl. She loved playing even if it was Daddy actually doing it. The video is all the excitement that we had when Claire, Grace, Aidan, and Baylee were playing. Boy they had a blast doing it.

Day with the girls!!!

I found a recipe for some homemade puffy paint on line and thought since I have these girls to entertain I would try it out. They loved them. It was lots of fun to let them paint away and then see the excitement when they saw that it had puffed up.
The Mess of the girls. This was all done in one hour. I am going to have to work hard later to get this place back to what it was. But it was all done in fun. We also had a combined bath with the magic pills that turn into sponge dinosaurs. This has all been done before lunch. We will see what happens after uncle Jon comes home and we break out the wii!!!

just an update

Well I just wanted to update every one on what has been going on in our lives. I feel like we have been going and going yet I have no pictures to show it. We have been working on getting our yard in better condition and ready for summer. We have been helping my Aunt get her house ready to rent out and just enjoying family time. With all the stuff we have been doing it was hard to get away for Memorial Day to go decorate our Angels' grave. I am so glad that My Aunt and cousins did it for me. It is beautiful the way the decorated. I at times wish I lived closer to the girls' grave but at other times it is nice to have the distance so i am not always there instead of focusing on the daughter I can hold in my arms every day. I still miss McKenzie and Vanessa very much. I think of them often and picture what they would be like if they were still on Earth. I am glad that I have the gospel to help me know where they are and that I will get to raise them one day.

Baylee is getting to be such a big girl. We have moved her to a Booster seat in the car because she kept getting out of her straps and wrapping the seat belt around her neck. It scared me. I thought she would end up choking herself if I had to slam on my brakes for some reason. She loves being in a Big Girl Car seat. She is going through a stage right now where she only wants to be held. It is hard to get anything done because when I put her down she pulls out her pouty lip and fake tears until my heart breaks and I pick her back up. I hope she gets out of this stage fast!! That is really all that is going on in our life. I will try to be better about taking pics of the events of our life.

Mother's day

Mother's day weekend was very relaxing for me. Baylee went to Grandma Karen's house for 2 nights. I was able to just relax and do things that I wanted to do. I got full nights rest which come far and few in our house. I did miss Baylee alot but was glad that she was having fun with her grandma. Jon and I had talked about not doing gifts for each other for mother's day and father's day so we could save some money for a great vacation together but I was looking on Craigs' list and found a great deal on a piano so Jon went and got it for me for Mother's day. I love it!!! The only problem is I never get to play it because Baylee has laid claim on it. She thinks it is her piano. Everytime I sit down to play it she runs over and pushes my hands away and says "Baylee sings" and starts playing. I love that she loves music so much and wants to play but I want a turn as well. I have tried putting on one of her favorite movies so I can play and she just runs over and plays and then watches the movie for a min. and then plays some more. Thanks Daddy it is one of the best gifts ever!!!!!! Can't wait tell Baylee gets older and I can teach her how to really play.

yummy!!!!!!!!

I love to make dessert and saw this one on line and thought I would give it a shot. It is called Chocolate box with strawberries. The whole thing is edible. the bottom is a box made out of chocolate and then it is filled with a chocolate mousse and then topped with strawberries and whipped cream. It was so yummy!! If anyone wants the recipe let me know. It was not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

Zoo!!!

We went to the Zoo with my cousin's little girls preschool and got to learn about Mammals, reptiles, insects, and birds, they let the kids feel what all the different creatures feel like. Baylee got to touch the snake and thought that was cool but we didn't get the pic in time. She loves to feel the walking stick as well. She had so much fun.

It was really easy for me and Jon to keep track of Baylee, she was always with Aunt Jenn!!!
At the zoo there is a slide that looks like a giraffe that all the kids love. I think they spend more time on it then they do looking at the animals. Baylee would not go by herself so she took turns going with other people.
